Rype Arts is a Colorado Springs–based design studio that creates original brands for progressive small businesses. Illustration, web design and print design are more than our professional passions – they’re also our favorite hobbies.

Ryan Putnam

Owner / Designer / Illustrator

With a rich background in fine art and graphic design, Ryan is Rype Arts’ rampant right brain – the marketing medicine man with the right recipes for business-distinguishing imagery. He is also fluent in multiple design programs and programming technologies.

In addition, Ryan is a contributing writer and artist for “The Adobe Illustrator CS4 Wow! Book”; an article and tutorial writer for successful blogs such as vectortuts.com; and the operator of vectips.com, a popular blog dedicated to Adobe Illustrator tips, techniques and tutorials.

His personal passions for painting, illustrating, crocheting and wheel-throwing pottery imbue his brand designs with a distinctive sense of organic artistic expression.

Carmen Putnam

Systems Manager

Wielding an accomplished resume in business administration and sales, Carmen is Rype Arts’ discerning left brain – the taskmaster, the organizer, the screening room of reason before a big idea reaches a client.

She ensures the efficient management of business components such as proposals, contracts, production schedules and company accounting.

Don’t let her dexterity with details throw you off, however: her eye for good art and design is as shrewd as they come. And with a certificate in musical theater performance from New York City’s American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she definitely knows how to present to an audience.

Immerse

Brand-building begins with burrowing into what makes your business unlike any other. We ask the questions, perform the research, and define the goals and roles that set the platform from which your brand will rise.

Design

Creative vision follows immersion. In this phase, we bring your brand to life through proofs and prototypes that you review and approve. What you will see is the visual expression of your business’s most salient truths and details.

Build

Once you approve your brand design, we will build your marketing files according to the most current standards for usage and compatibility. This includes files for print, illustrations and the web.

Deploy

Now it’s time for take-off! Launching a newly branded website and opening a box of new business cards are exciting moments for the progressive small business. We will also package all of your files for future use and retrieval. Your brand is now ready to make its presence in the market.
